Front Home Theater Speakers – 2 Tips On Buying Speakers

January 9th, 2010 Jessica Lauren No comments

If you are looking for front home theater speakers than I am guessing you want to buy separate speakers instead of satellite speakers. Satellite speakers come in packs of 3 to 8. This might be a better option for some then just buying the front home theater speakers. Why? Because you would be able to be sure that all of your speakers would work together as they should.

A couple of things should be considered when you are looking for the right speakers. We are going to take a look at those and then you will be able to make an informed decision.

#1 is the warranty

A very important factor that you want to look at is the warranty that the manufacturer offers. This warranty can ( in my own opinion ) show you a lot about the quality of the speaker system or speaker.

You will need to look at each speaker’s warranty individually because there are many different warranty ranges. The warranty ranges on the speakers are vary but the most common length is 3 months. I would throw out anything that offers less than 3 months.

#2 Placement and Fit

Another factor in your next speaker purchase would be the placement and fit of the speakers. Even if you have the best sounding speakers you can not enjoy them if they do not fit in your entertainment center or if they can’t go where you wanted them to be placed.

Sometimes when we get excited about our purchase we don’t think about this factor but you need to remember this one. When you buy online the website that you purchase from usually has the dimensions of the speakers and you can check them easily there.

Now that you know a couple of things that will help in your next speakers purchase, make sure that you read through some reviews on whatever speaker or speakers system in which you are interested. Get the best advice on buying.

Variations In Surround Sound Systems

When designing a new home theater system, one of the most important things to consider is the sound. Installing a new surround sound system can enhance your home theater experience, making it a more complete setup. While the installation may or may not be easy, depending on the type of system you choose, it will be worth it when you have it completed.

Any time you can savor a job well done is good. So you want to hook a surround sound to your new 52 inch flat screen television? Where do you start? First you have to decide how much you want to spend. Are you looking for the ultimate movie experience and looking to impress your friends and family? Unless you are Usher or Lil Jon, you might not be able to build an actual theater in your house. So those of us on a budget can still get great results without having to sell a kidney on the black market.

If you are looking for a less complicated solution, many manufactures offer a home theater system in a box, which includes all of the necessary pieces for your surround sound system. The package typically includes a DVD player/tuner or a stand alone tuner, all of the necessary speakers, and color coded wires that make installation easy.

The sound bar system is the least complicated home surround system, and the easiest to install. The system comes with two speakers, a sound bar for the front of the room, which simulates the different channels found in a 5.1 channel system, and a sub-woofer. While this system will not produce a sound quality as good as the 5.1 channel system, it is easy to setup, and does provide a limited surround sound experience.

The next all in one system is a 5.1 channel surround sound system. It consists of a sub-woofer, a center speaker, two front side speakers and two rear side speakers. It is a truer surround sound experience than the speaker bar is the most common and works great for DVDs and HDTV.

The newest option in home surround sound systems is the 7.1 channel system. The setup for the 7.1 channel system is similar to the 5.1 channel system, with the addition of two speakers that are places in the middle of the room, on opposite sides of the viewing area. The 7.1 channel system is the ideal system for Blu-ray movies, since these movies offer a higher quality of sound then a standard DVD.

There are various components to look at before starting to hook up you home entertainment center. To start with, you will need a bracket for plasma flat screens.
