Home Movie Theater Projectors

July 18th, 2010 Owen Jones No comments

Going to the movies is a very popular recreational pastime, especially for young executives living considerably stressful lives managing a company’s affairs. However, for those people, who do not have the time to waste travelling back and fore from the movie theater, the solution to this problem could be just inside their own home.

Why not recreate the visual and sound systems of the movie theaters with your very own custom home theater system? The best custom home theater set up certainly can include high quality components that are capable of recreating the entire movie theater experience without having to drive from your house to the movie theater spending time and effort waiting in heavy traffic. This modern technology can give you the relaxation and experience that full-sized movie theaters provide.

The basic components, such as a big screen and speakers with clear and flicker free images from a high quality DVD, can easily provide an almost-authentic movie theater experience. Home theater experts recommend that before you decide on the final set-up and equipment for your custom home theater system, the size of the location must be the first consideration.

Therefore, if you have a small sized location intended for your home theater system, a television set may be best located in the centre of one wall and three loudspeakers, stood on the left, right and center, could be enough to provide the surround sound you want from a custom movie theater. However, if you have a bigger room, a home theater projector might be the better bet for providing that big screen experience.

Home theater projector screens can recreate that authentic movie theater experience. If you are going to use quite a big room for your home theater system, you could add more speakers around the room in combination with your home theater projector and home theater projector screen. Another useful tip is that a sub-woofer could also help to provide the best surround sound to enable you to create the authentic sound of a movie theater in your very own living room.

There are a variety of designs and models of home theater projector you could choose from. You will have to get acquainted with the qualities of each one, before you make up your mind which one to purchase. It could also be necessary for you to hire the services of a home theater expert to get the home theater system that will give you optimum entertainment. This will mean not having to spend an unreasonable amount of time and money on your home theater system and home theater projector.

It is so easy to buy equipment with an unnecessarily large capacity for your home theater, especially if you do not know what the possible choices are and the various requirements that your home theater may have due to its dimensions. The size of your home theater projector screen should be a function of the size of your room and the components of your custom home theater. For example, from where you plan to sit to the screen should be between two and five times the diameter of the screen. So, looking at it from the other perspective, if you are going to sit 10 feet (120 inches) from the screen, then the screen should be 24-60 inches, but it is very subjective and depends on the viewers eyesight.

Your home theater expert might also propose options for your home theater that may not include a television set. Why? The reason for this is the technological innovations employed by computers and home theater projectors. Home theater projectors like InFocus screenplay models, for example, can be hooked up with a computer in a small room set-up. Home theater projectors are also lightweight and can be transported effortlessly. Therefore, a projector is very useful for employment in custom home theaters and business presentations.

Home theater projectors and home theater projector screens can help provide an authentic cinematic experience. This kind of installation is particularly useful for business presentations and that is why it is becoming more and more popular. The combination of your custom home and custom office theater systems is a new innovation, which only a few intelligent customers have thought of.

It may well be that being now aware of all these facts: ie, that a normal television set, three speakers and a DVD player can be enough for those people who only want a basic home theater system, you may come to the conclusion that you do not really require a home theater projector, especially if the location for your custom home theater system is not very big.

Enjoy a cinematographic experience right in your own home by researching your options intelligently. You can then experience the relaxation a movie theater gives you without having to endure heavy traffic on the way to and from the movie theater.

Teeth Whitening: Pros and Cons

May 2nd, 2010 Gail Jones No comments

Choosing teeth whitening products from the different teeth whitening products available on the market these days can be quite difficult. However, some of these teeth whitening products do not give the desired results.

If you asked the experts, they would tell you that the best method of teeth whitening is still obtainable through your dentist. Not only is it the best, but it is also the most effective and the quickest way to have whiter teeth.

However, not everyone can afford the charges that come with such treatment. Another factor that deters them from going to dentists is fear. It seems that in early childhood, dentists are one of the most feared professions and that children just do not want to have to go to them. This fear continues on into adult years.

Although dentists do not advise people to choose teeth whitening products, they all agree that some of these products are effective in a degree. According to many studies, most teeth whitening products can result in whiter teeth that can out perform any procedure applied by your dentist, if applied regularly and consistently.

Another plus point that teeth whitening products have, is that they contain the same ingredients that are used in professional whitening. Two of the active ingredients needed for whitening teeth are hydrogen peroxide and carbamide. These two products are also the ingredients that are present in some of the products that are on sale in ordinary grocery shops and drug stores.

The only advantage that teeth whitening products have over professional whitening is that they tend to be very cheap. Everyone who finds out about them can afford to add them to their list of basic shopping things.

Many of these products can be bought for less than $30. Compare this to the $100 or more that you are charged at the dentist’s surgery. It will not surprise you that most people prefer them to the higher fees. Still, teeth whitening products do have some disadvantages. Some of which are:

1. Suitability. Teeth whitening products cater for all, it is true, but then different people have different needs. What some people found effective may not work for others. This is one of the problems that people will encounter with these ‘home’ products.

There are some who have sensitive teeth and gums. Reaction to the products will depend upon the suitability of the products to the persons using them. An option would be to try different products until you find the one that suits you.

2. Strong Chemicals Used. You will not know what your reaction to any given chemical will be until you have tested it yourself. As you do not know how sensitive your teeth are, you will also not know what might happen until you start using the product. It is better to consult with your dentist before selecting any product at all.

3. Tray may not fit. The tray used in your mouth is not exactly right to you, so there is a problem that it may be either too big or too small.

If it is too large, the preparation may not work very well. On the other hand, if it is too small, it may cause gum bleeding and other side effects that could cause bigger problems. Be sure that the teeth whitening precuts you choose are suitable for you. If none of them works, then maybe professional teeth whitening would be better for you.

Home Movie Theater Screens

April 11th, 2010 Owen Jones No comments

When it comes to deciding on a screen, the first thing to think about is the kind of screen you want or even may need. If the room where you are setting up your home theater is large, then you will have to have a home theater projection screen or maybe you just want one anyway.

I, personally, like the idea of having a drop-down screen, but sometimes you have to have one even in a modest home theater. It converts your living room into a home theater: you recline in your chair; click a button and a screen drops down; click a button and the lights dim; click another one and the movie begins!

If you prefer a television screen, then you might consider buying a new one if you can afford it. They say that a 27 inch screen is big enough, but I do not think that it is. In my opinion, you really need 48-60 inches, but then I am a 50 something year old and my eyes are definitely not what they used to be.

If you are buying a new TV for your home movie theater set-up, I think you should get the latest model. HDTV is upon us and since February 2009 the United States has been committed to High Definition. Therefore, I would ensure that your new television is capable of receiving it. Then I suggest that the new home movie theater screen be a flat one in order to reduce the annoying glare that could ruin the experience, which could be another reason for choosing a drop-down projection screen.

Then you should ensure that the new television has enough input and output sockets for the equipment you plan to use and youre done. So, to summarize, I would go for:

At minimum a 27 inch screen

A flat screen

HDTV compatibility

Sufficient input and output sockets

Satellite compliant

I recommend satellite compatibility because it is probably the future or near future at least. If you get a satellite TV connection you will have access to HDTV downloads which you can watch whenever you like.
